What makes an excellent nursery?

Before we get into our list, it’s first worth considering what actually makes an excellent nursery. Here are a few traits that we consider to be most important:

  • A great range of plants. The best nurseries have an excellent range of plants. From hardy natives and citrus trees to succulents, indoor plants, and other, more exotic species, you should be able to find exactly what you’re looking for.
  • Knowledgeable staff. Plants are living things and require specific growing conditions to thrive. The staff at your local nursery should be able to help you decide on a range of plants that are well-suited to your indoor or outdoor space.
  • A collection of garden accessories. Plants aren’t the only thing that brings a garden to life. Things like stones, pavers, birdbaths, sculptures, and pots all add a unique flair to your yard.
  • Competitive pricing. At the end of the day, pricing is important. The best nurseries in the Canberra region are priced fairly and competitively, so you can rest easy knowing you’re getting a great deal.
