I bet someone out there knows the answer to this! Now that the public service seems to outsource scribing for APS interviews, how much do agencies actually charge per hour for the scribes they send out? I know the scribe is paid around $50/hour for interview attendence and drafting up the reports, but how much do they cost the department?
It’s an interesting phenomenon, scribes. Back when I were a lad in the APS, if you were on a panel, you asked the candidate (victim) questions and then sat there furiously scribbling as they answered. Now, an outside person does that. I wonder how that change came about?
