Canberra Beer Week was launched last night at Bentspoke Brewery in Braddon. The week-long celebration of beer will take place form 5 – 11 November.
Representing the ACT Government, Minister Mike Gentleman officially launched Canberra Beer Week.
“Canberra is well renowned for our outstanding wines, and there are a number of events on the calendar each year celebrating this very fact,” Minister Gentleman said.
“Only recently have we added top quality beer to the mix, and it is wonderful to see our local brewing industry taking off, and receiving the same recognition for producing exceptional local drops.”
Canberra Beer Week has something for all beer lovers, with lunch and dinner events, trivia and movies, opportunities to meet brewers and “Beer Day Out”, which will showcase over 30 Australian and international craft breweries on 6 – 7 November.
