If you need a good excuse to head down to the pub, BentSpoke is giving you one of the best reasons to enjoy a cold one.
This Thursday night (29th March), BentSpoke Brewing is throwing their support behind Tathra by hosting a charity fundraising event on Thursday night to support the Tathra community in the wake of the devastating bushfires.
The Braddon brewery will donate $2 from every large glass of beer or cider and $1 from every small glass purchased between 4 and 7 pm this Thursday, March 29.
There will also be a bucket on the bar so anyone willing to support those who suffered from the devastating bushfires last week can donate.
Co-owner and head brewer Richard Watkins hopes the community turns out to dig deep for the Bega Valley Shire Council Mayoral Appeal Fund.
“Canberrans remember only too well the devastation when bushfires burn down homes,” Mr Watkins said.
“We expect we’ll be able to raise a few thousand dollars for the people of Tathra.”
For those can’t make it to BentSpoke in Braddon, or just want to give directly, the Mayoral Appeal Fund is taking donations in the following ways:
- Electronic bank transfer: BSB: 012525 / Account: 837535154
- In person at ANZ Bega Branch
- Credit Card over the phone, call 02 6499 2345 (between 9:00 am – 4:30 pm)
Enjoy your favourite beer while helping a good cause.
