There are only a handful of apartments left in the Molonglo Valley’s boutique Del-Rey development due for completion in November.

The condominiums at 50/43 Arthur Blakeley Way in Coombs have sold like hot cakes, with buyers falling in love with the sun-drenched Californian-inspired property designed by Judd Studio.

Marcus Allesch from POD Projects Group said there were only six luxury homes remaining for sale in the 97-apartment complex.

“We’ve got some good choices of one and two-bedroom apartments still available,” he said.

“Interest in the project has been really, really strong, so we expect to have all the condominiums sold before the owners move in early next year.”

Marcus said Del-Rey offered something a little different for Canberra home-buyers.

“They’re classy low-rise apartments and very different to all the shiny high-rise buildings we’re seeing popping up all over Canberra, ” he said.

“People like the architectural style of the building. It has a softer feel and a real warmth to it with the muted colour scheme, the expansive windows and the Californian-style curves.”

A unique central atrium at the property’s heart is designed to create cross-flow ventilation for most apartments. Residents will enjoy the vast rooftop alfresco barbecue and entertaining areas with magnificent panoramic views.

“Set among gardens, the rooftop is the perfect place to entertain with friends, mix with other residents, enjoy sundowners with the family or sit and read a book in the sunshine,” Marcus said.

“Internal atriums are very popular because the cross flow ventilation leads to a reduction in energy costs, they increase the natural light flowing into the apartments and are visually pleasing.”

Located opposite open parkland and surrounded by mountains, ponds, parks and the Molonglo River, Del-Rey offers an enviable outdoor lifestyle with an easy commute to the city.

Explore leisurely bike tracks with the family, picnic among lush local parks and playgrounds, explore the walking trails along the Molonglo River or get your adrenaline rush on a choice of downhill mountain bike runs.

Marcus says the Molonglo Valley is very popular, which is why homes and apartments in the area are in such high demand.

“In the heart of the valley, Coombs is connected with nature, yet is a short drive to the CBD, Woden, Manuka and Kingston. You’re away from the hustle and bustle, but still close to everything,” he said.

“The proposed Coombs & Wright Village Centre will be a vibrant community hub featuring a public square, outdoor dining and lots more.”

The Del-Rey apartments are being constructed on the last parcel of land in the North Coombs estate, so buyers know exactly what they’re getting and what they’ll be looking at.

“You’re not going to move in and have loads of construction around you,” Marcus added.

With luxurious finishes throughout, the Del-Rey apartments feature beautiful kitchens and stunning bathrooms with luxury upgraded inclusions as standard.

The spacious kitchens are a home chef’s delight with 40 mm stone bench tops with a waterfall edge, stunning tapware, soft-close drawers and premium appliances, including a dishwasher and energy-efficient induction cooktop.

Elegant bathrooms feature large, light-coloured floor-to-ceiling wall tiles, matching feature tiles in the oversized shower, a large, mirrored shaving cabinet, and stylish wall-hung vanity.

Open plan living areas open up to stunning outdoor spaces. The balconies take in views over the surrounding bushland and river, while some apartments also have large courtyards, providing a private room to unwind.

The complex has a high level of security, featuring video intercom, controlled lift access and CCTV throughout common areas.

Marcus says Del-Rey is being developed and built by an award-winning team with a strong track record of delivering iconic projects in the ACT.

“We are well established in Canberra, have a great reputation and can be trusted to deliver new homes to buyers’ expectations,” he added.
