Following on from the shock announcement of health statistics being manipulated at Canberra Hospital the Liberals’ Jeremy Hanson reveals the numbers are being re-crunched at Calvary Hospital.
Bear in mind that millions in funding from the Commonwealth can flow from performance in these statistics.
“I received an email last week from a private email address which suggested that Calvary emergency department waiting times were also being doctored,” Mr Hanson said today.
“This raises obvious questions about just how widespread this serious issue could be, and completely justifies the need for a truly independent investigation of both hospitals.
“We know Katy Gallagher has form in covering up serious issues within ACT Health, as we saw with the serious bullying in obstetrics at Canberra Hospital.
