Two years ago, The RiotACT reported that Canberra’s famous Bentspoke Beer was now available in cans across our fair city and in other parts of Australia thanks to their new shiny cannery in Mitchell. Your intrepid correspondent (and the Chief Minister, shown above) enjoyed that open day immensely and a few others at the Cannery and the pub in Braddon since then! If you haven’t had a look inside a beer cannery, it is an engineering and culinary marvel and you will get a chance to do the same this Saturday.

Essential Information:

What: A free community celebration of Canberra’s premium beers
When: 11 am – 10 pm this Saturday 8 September
Where: The Bentspoke Cannery in Mitchell, on the corner at 79 Lysaght Street.
