This just in from the inimitable Josh Inman:

Dear robots of poetry,

Kicking off at 7:30 at the Front Gallery in Lyneham on the 21st, the March edition of the Canberra Poetry Slam starts with an open mike.

The slam is open to all*, with a 1 poem 3 minute limit; the poem has to be of your own devising, with no musical accompaniment or props.

The March edition features the words of Canberra’s Raphael Kabo, poetic, some times tragic or satirical words delivered with comedic timing.

The night is brought to by regular host JC Inman and Special Guest Host, Bernadette, as the always-zany Flying V substitute.

Bring your poems or just sit and listen while enjoying a wine or coffee

Extra points will not be award to those who reference Blade Runner

*Skinjobs and Chickenheads need not apply

As I am sure the organisers are aware, this slam is being held on World Poetry Day, as declared by the U.N.:
