Canberra has a reputation for having a large and vibrant music scene at least in proportion to the fairly small population of the city.
Though traditionally a stronghold of metal in the suburbs and jazz/avant garde among the School of Music graduates there is also some truly excellent punk rock music to come out of the nations capital.
In support of this sector of the Canberra music scene is the Punktuation Punk Rock Radio Podcast, a podcast created in a home studio in the heart of Lyneham aiming to bring up to date news and reviews of the punkrock scene as well as promoting the musical efforts of local bands.
The first edition has just been launched featuring the music of Lamexcuse, Yoko Oh No, Waterford and The Vee Bees and also a review of the restaurant “Morks”.
With frequently updated content, quality music and insightful political discussion it’s well worth a look.
