Melbourne’s Herald Sun has a review for the Canberra entertainers flying the flag at the Melbourne comedy festival under the banner of “Capital Punishment”:

The night is definitely a mixed bag and there are a few too many jokes that cover familiar themes, but with five comics in 60 minutes you don’t have to wait long for things to move on when it does fall flat.

Star rating: ***

This might sound like damning with faint praise, but as Rafe observed on Facebook:

3 stars. Better than Greg Fleet, Same as Arj Barker, not as good as Will Anderson. wotevs herald sun, no one likes you anyway.

Is the phrase “Capital Punishment” the flavour of the month or something? I’ve seen several different groups and events using the name in the last 6 months. Way to raise the creative bar, people!
