Captain Cook Fountain moved to Belco?

By Ntp - 4 May 2005 13

Those of you in Belconnen may have seen a massive water jet spring up for a few minutes near the mall side of lake Gininderra about 5 minutes ago (1425hrs), anyone know what it was? It towered over the Mirimar appartments.

What’s Your opinion?

I put the above comment in the wrong place.

Interestingly I heard the Ear ring lad talking about looking at suburb planning in which he alluded to Gungahlin. Surely he was not saying that Gungahlin is a planning and social mess?

Whatever, its still a junket. He could go to Adelaide or Perth rather than overseas.

Diane,

maybe it was several carp?

There goes the water restrictions….

Maybe the roadworks outside subway hit a pipe and the lake started leaking…?

David Fairhall saw Nikki Webster out jogging by the lake in a bikini…… 😛

I was walking around the lake just before and a giant piece of what looked fish flesh landed on my jacket and left a stain (shaped like a rams head of all things). I thought someone may have been throwing bits of fish from a plane or a UFO or something but I think your ‘concept’ of a ‘Giant Carp’ maybe quite plausible.

10 bucks on a fire hydrant being played with.

Maybe a giant carp exploded?

I don’t know what happened there, but upstairs we watched a car be broken into at the Belco mall. Despite calling security at the mall, but they were a bit slow.

hehehe.. Now that would be a sight! There’s a heap of air conditioning pipes that run from the mall and the offices out into the lake but I wouldn’t think they were under huge pressure.

yeah sorry about that – never open a can of drink after you’ve dropped it without waiting 10 minutes first……
