Riding home last night, about 6:30 I noticed a white hatch pulled over by the golf course, driver inside, front looked slightly crumpled.
Fire truck went straight by with siren and lights. Few 100 metres on, three? cars. I noticed major panel damage on one’s left panel ahead of the wheel. In front of everything, a flat bar bicycle lying on the road.
And of course, the arriving drivers hoping, in spite of their eyes, that their way forward wasn’t blocked.
Last year there was a ute? abandoned on the triangle at the southbound Gininderra exit for weeks. Finally, late one night, I noticed a patrol car pulled over, the cops having a look.
It disappeared soon after. Guess they didn’t patrol the GDE much. Maybe they still don’t.
And yes, that mangled Camry has been pointing skywards against that embankment since *at least* Friday afternoon.
Why hasn’t it been towed away yet? Surely the cops know about it if it’s been there for nearly a week.
Somethings aren’t meant for the eyes of bunnies? I can see it fine.
Why can’t I see the Majura crash thread? It’s all grey except for the comments…..

RiotACT: The home of car accidents in the ACT.
Hey, new theory confirmed while I was posting. I rode north on the path at about 6:30.
Think the police were already there, and the Fire Truck was just arriving so it had to have happened earlier.
Poetic licence or I can’t spell Lady Danman Drive.
I assume the waste of space next to the GGs is Royal Canberra.
Noticed this morning, the dam’s metal railing is mangled, is this new?
The carnage was between the dam and the dam carpark entrance.
I may have interpreted the railing as a bike at that distance in the fading light.
Fits the panel damage I noticed better too, and it was suspiciously like the bike in the Adelaide police appeal.
As for substances, just the red before bed.
There looked to have been an accident just past Scrivener Dam sometime on Tuesday, but before 6.30 PM.
I saw three cars on the side of the road as I drove past and two of the western barriers had been bent out of shape. No idea of the circumstances (except that it was raining and its on a corner) or the outcome.
The Camry had hit the centre concrete before heading skywards up the embankment. Its been there since Saturday I think…
I saw that car last night. Looks like someone stole it and then drove it up the embankment.
Front drivers side door was open from memory.

That one was there on Monday afternoon. I suspect it was a stolen/crashed/abandoned – I don’t recall seeing number plates on it.
Spooky, somebody call Mulder and Scully.
There were a couple of crashed cars on the GDE yesterday. North of the Belconnen Way intersection, a Commadore station wagon had beached itself on the centre grass divider and a tow truck was trying to pull it off. Strangley though, there didn’t seem to be anyone around it, and the tow truck way half-way out onto the road without any lights on.
The second I saw was also in the north lane just after Ginninderra Drive. A Camry was parked up backwards on a grass wall near the Ellenbrough overpass, with the passengers door wide open in the rain. Again no one was around.
lol @ thumper
Lay me down dead man?
goo goo ga joob….
car crash – lady dead, man!
was scoring hash – saw a tan van… man.
Mugwumps.
Either that or the uneducated signwriter is at it again!
I’m still trying to google “flat bar bicycle”.
I blame substance abuse.
Or gorebull warmening.

Yeah, right on daddy-o….
Bizarre post to say the least.
So it appears there was a car crash near an undisclosed golf course.
What was the question again?
Is this news, or some strange attempt at beat poetry?
