CALLING FOR CHILDREN’S CLOTHING DONATIONS!
CARMBA is busy planning the next Children’s Clothing Swap (venue TBA). Last year’s event was an enormous success, with over 4000 items donated, and a large number of members taking home excellent quality ‘new-to-you’ clothes for their children.
2012 is promising to be BIGGER AND BETTER. CARMBA has left over items from last year’s event to add to the selection of clothing available for this swap.
Clothing donations or collection arrangements can be made by e-mailing Alex at fsp@carmba.org.au
What is a clothing swap?
Donate your unwanted children’s clothing to CARMBA by 28 March 2012 for sorting and quality checking. You will be given a credit (according to what clothing you donate). These credits can then be redeemed at the Clothing Swap by selecting ‘new-to-you’ children’s clothes.
Clothing must be in very good condition (no tears or stains please), clean and ready to wear, all zips and buttons intact and working, and no offensive slogans or pictures. Please sort your children’s clothes into gender and size prior to dropping them off. All sizes accepted.
Credits Guide:
1 credit = socks, singlets, t-shirts, shorts, spencers, stockings, leggings, hats, booties, bibs
2 credits = jumpers, pants, jeans, skirts, bathers
3 credits = clothing sets, jackets, coats, shoes, sleeping bags/grobags
Participation Fees:
A small participation fee will be charged to cover administration costs. This will be charged on the day, not at the time of donating clothing. The charge is $2 for CARMBA members and $5 for non-members.
No clothing to donate?
Families who do not have clothing to donate are still very welcome to attend the clothing swap and purchase clothing.
Unable to attend the swap?
You are welcome to view the clothing after the event by appointment. Contact Alex at fsp@carmba.org.au for more information.
