Carney Coming Back to Canberra? [With poll]

With the Roosters showing him the door and another 11 clubs confirming they don’t want him, could that lovable rogue (tongue firmly planted in cheek!) be heading back to Canberra?

I haven’t heard any rumours nor do I wish to start one but it’s possible isn’t it? And I reckon it could happen.

It would have to be under strict conditions of course and be a week to week proposition but what do other rioters think???

Todd Carney returning to Canberra?

Twats are very useful butt.

No chance of playing in the NRL in the immediate future, even though he was at the Raiders awards night last week.

Todd will be off to France to try his hand at some rugby. 100%

I love how ‘Pibulls in Canberra. Time to ban?’ came up in related content. A linkage that’s probably unfair to pitbulls.

I’m undecided on this one. On the one hand he is high on the Mully level of entertainment, but on the other hand he is an aggressive drink driving bogan of the worst kind. At the very least, we’d all have to lock up our dogs… or was that some other idiot Canberra Raider, it’s hard to tell?

I say let him play (in Canberra or wherever). And let him have the same work conditions as I do (drinking permitted, of course, as long as not on the job or before driving). Banning Carney from playing (unrealistic moral clauses) vs. the paltry fines/suspensions from the Manley/Melbourne fight (game fights should lead to jail time) highlight the hypocrisy found in the NRL.

Also, the driver could steer him away from situations that involve him urinating on people.

I’ve suggested this before, perhaps all controversial players need a 24 hour minder to veto any dumb decisions made. All other players get a (anonymous) 24 hr freecall number to a guy who tells them its ok, or not to do it. By re-offending, it’s obvious that they don’t actually care about any penalties imposed after they disgrace the sport. They really need to get tough on these guys, instead of just trading them to other clubs or sports

I’d say he owes the Raiders at least a year, on a salary of $1. But given he’s just bought a house in Sydney – my money’s with the Cronulla rumours.

All been said before – but it’s funny how the good players need help, whereas the average players disappear overnight, never to be heard from again.

yup, and they could sign up Brendan Fevola while they are at it.

CARNEYWATCH: The man himself was spotted wetting his tongue at The Lighthouse on the weekend.

As long as the Raiders supply him with a car and driver so that he doesn’t need to drive pissed and unlicensed. Also, the driver could steer him away from situations that involve him urinating on people.

Nothing’s impossible, and the people who run rugby league sure aren’t known for the depth of their insight. But it would be a collossal error to bring him back under the delusion that applying conditions would modify his behaviour; people like Carney simply don’t recognise restrictions the way most of society does. He just doesn’t believe he’s subject to the same rules. Especially in old stomping grounds, it’s only a matter of time before old habits recur.

Big Sports Breakfast radio chat has him most likely to find a home at Brisbane or Cronulla. And even those seem to be relatively slim chances.

Dishpig at Long Bay seems a likely final occupation for this clown … presumably some sort of family re-union could also go on there, based on other RA assessments of the clan.

The man is a gormless twat. His only real talent seems to be the ability to catch a ball and run around a bit, all other traits and habits would generally exclude him from human society.

I say banish him to the darkest pit of Rugby League hell and have him play B grade in the Kyrgyzstan League.
