Lets make fun of people who live in lower socio-economic suburbs.

True, although are they lower socio-economic these days when a 2 bedroom house will cost you $360,000?

That’s probably the other point.

A lot of young couples have bought in Charnwood due to cheaper housing prices, bringing the quality of the area up, and pushing up house prices. I don’t think Charnwood today is the same as Charnwood 5 or 10 years ago.

And, even if Charnwood was still a really poor area, it still doesn’t make it ok to make fun of the people who live there for being poor.

Aaah good ol’ Charny, a lick o’ paint will never brush away the stigma.

Yep, in a recent media release a guy in Griffith whose flat caught fire ‘self evacuated’ as well. They didn’t say he did it ‘safely’ though. The mind boggles.

Those firies deserve more money.

True- they deal with a lot of ‘self-evacuation’ on a daily basis.

If you can’t laugh at those less fortunate than yourself, who can you laugh at?

Lets make fun of people who live in lower socio-economic suburbs.

Bit harsh to make fun when a family’s home got burnt.

Self evacuated? Does that mean they shat themselves?
