A 28-year-old man has been charged over the alleged indecent assault of two children and the physical assault of another while working at a Canberra childcare centre.

Police said the Scullin man was due to face court today after two parents reported the alleged indecent assaults this month.

Police arrested the man on Sunday (29 May) after an investigation by ACT Policing’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse team.

He has been charged with two counts of acts of indecency against a child under 10 years and one count of common assault.

Police said the childcare centre had recently sacked the man, and support was being provided to the facility and families involved.

Any victim of sexual violence can contact ACT Policing to report the matter on 131 444, attend a police station or report historical matters online through the ACT Policing website.
