Chris Bourke a hot tip to pick up the Health Ministry

By johnboy - 5 August 2011 11

Shiny new MLA Chris Bourke is letting us know that despite being a backbencher in one of the smaller parliaments in the land he’s at the Australian Health Ministers’ Conference acting as a Health Minister:

Dr Bourke said, “Yesterday started with a meeting of the Australian Health Workforce Ministerial
Council (AHWMC) which discussed workforce issues particularly those relating to the National
Registration and Accreditation Scheme.

“The Australian Health Ministers’ Conference followed and a range of important matters was discussed
at length including health reform.

“As this was my first ministerial council meeting, I was impressed with the range of topics covered and
the detail involved in many of the discussions.”

Not long for the back bench we’re willing to bet.

What’s Your opinion?

1431 people voted for him by putting him ahead of anyone else on the ballot paper.

There were 60049 eligible votes cast.

0.0238% of the voting population for that electorate.

Now that’s a ringing endorsement.

No. I’m serious. How many people actually voted for him? A few hundred, maybe a thousand?

Awww….this is just too cute.

It’s always funny when the adults let the kids sit at the big table occassionally.

It’s even funnier when the kids pretend that they can contribute something to the grown-ups conversation.

Good way to get around the 5 minister limit.

Geez, the other labor backbenchers (including that Hargraves clown) must be crook.

Sorry, you mean giving one of the most important ministrys in the land, fraught with problems, scandals and delays, to someone who is wet behind the ears makes sense? People, is there something wrong here?
