The Commissioner for Sustainability and the Environment, Dr Maxine Cooper, is inviting expressions of interest for Young People Ambassadors.

The Young People Ambassadors assist the Commissioner and staff on advocacy and awareness of sustainability and environmental issues, particularly in the youth sector (12-25 years).  The functions of the Ambassadors in partnership with our Office are to:

  • provide linkages with the Children & Young People Commissioner by partnering with this Commission to work with young people and,
  • provide linkages with key sustainability and environmental youth groups such as the Australian Youth Climate Coalition and ACT Otherwise.

More information about the Young People Ambassadors can be found on the Commissioner’s website at: www.envcomm.act.gov.au

Expressions of interest should be lodged by close of business on Friday 12 February 2010 by:

Email: envcomm@act.gov.au
