Community sector lining up to kick Joy Burch

The Greens’ Meredith Hunter is whipping up a baying mob of angry community sector types:

Today, Families ACT – the peak for family support services, together with the Youth Coalition of the ACT – the peak body for youth affairs in the ACT, sent an open letter to every MLA highlighting problems with the new Children, Youth, and Family Services Program.

“The letter outlines multiple concerns regarding the closure and reduction of youth centres, case management services running beyond capacity, and a referral pathway system for youth that is even more complicated than the name suggests.

“The Minister has repeatedly said that everything is fine, and that she has not heard any significant concerns, but after today, that can longer be used as an excuse.
