The CRDL home season is rolling on with unstoppable force, with the third double header of the season, and the last before the final, set to take place on the 20th of September. This home season is continuing to prove that in derby, anything can happen, with a complete reversal of last season’s standings. Last round, the Surly Griffins emerged victorious over the Red Bellied Black Hearts in game one, while the Brindabelters beat the Black n’ Blue Belles in a rematch of last season’s final.
In the first match, due to kick off at 4, the Griffins will seek to continue their domination of the season when they face off against the Belles, who need a win to turn their season around. The Belters and Black Hearts both have one win this season, and they’ll both be looking for another win to secure a place in the finals in the second match of the night.
Both games promise some riveting derby, and we’d love to see you for either one of the games. Or make a night of it, and check out both! Get ready for twice as much fun with an awesome night of roller derby! Doors open at 3 pm at Tuggeranong Southern Cross Stadium, with the first game’s whistle blowing at 4, and the second game underway at approximately 6:15 pm.
This double header will close out the round robin home season, and decide the rankings for the finals, which are set to be played on the 25th October.
