Critique Bookkeeping is truly a Cinderella story. Starting in September 2008, what was a simple side-business has now expanded into one of Canberra’s leading outsourced bookkeeping companies, and all in the space of 16 months.
Despite becoming steadily recognised for her bookkeeping services to small and medium businesses, the mastermind behind this financial fairytale, Tricia Carson, still remains as humble as her company’s humble beginnings.
With an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and over 30 years of experience between her and her employees, Tricia’s budding bookkeeping services remain motivated by two things: her love of numbers and the joy of turning disorganized data files into her own works of art.
Even though Tricia may be in charge, she enjoys the bookkeeping aspect of her job as much as the managerial and is ready and willing to get her hands dirty alongside her team of experienced employees.
The Critique Bookkeeping staff know their numbers and are ready to do everything their client needs that isn’t already covered by an accountant. From payroll and inventory to accounts and analysis, their services are as varied as their skill sets. Offering weekly, monthly and quarterly bookkeeping or just being a helping hand when called upon, everything depends on the exact needs of the client.
Whatever formula Tricia is using, it’s certainly working as over 95 percent of Critique’s clientele have come from recommendations. Whether it’s the personalised service, efficient work ethic or obvious attention to every last detail, more clients and accountants alike are turning to Tricia and her bookkeeping team.
One can only wonder; if this is what Critique have achieved in little over 16 months, what new opportunities might be on their books if you join them in the coming year?
