David Branson’s legacy in the Canberra arts scene remains huge with many of those he inspired going on to great things.
Facebook brings word of a tribute to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his tragic passing:
A man beloved by many, David Branson, fell from this mortal coil 10 years ago on 11 December 2001 in a tragic car accident in Canberra.
Branson was a great supporter and energiser of new work and developing artists, a force of life that encouraged and inspired many through his work as a director, musician and Impresario.
The Street Theatre will be hosting an afternoon tribute (12:30pm- 4:30pm) with performances, stories, music and a BBQ in the forecourt of the Theatre (in The Studio if weather inclement).
Come and share a tear, a chuckle, a guffaw & tender memories of this remarkable man.
To be followed by a performance by Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen in the Main Theatre at 6pm (Tickets available from The Street).
