Sunday (Mothers Day) there’s a giant chook show (giant show, not giant chooks) at the Quangers Showgrounds. And out in Hoskinstown, they’re roasting a crapload of chestnuts at the community hall and doing a whole heap of chestnut stuff. Both events are 10am to 3pm. ish.

from the signage, at EPIC on Saturday you can visit the baby and childrens market and then walk over to the Exotica ‘fair’ to view some adult entertainment – looks like something for everyone you just might want to leave the kids at home if you are doing both!

The Mothers’ Day concert at Canberra Theatre is set to be a fantastic show for everyone. In this 2 hour show, we have big band swing, popular music, R&B, classical, and some stuff from Phantom of the Opera. There are vocalists and a solo flute in this variety show.
This show is designed to treat your mum on Mothers’ day, and the Labour Club is putting on lunch before hand (just across the road from the theatre).
Purchase your tickets at any Labor Club or through Canberra Ticketing. Walk-up tickets are available but we suggest booking early to avoid disappointment!
