It’s been a short week (you know you’ve got a proper job when you come to hate the disruption of long weekends instead of celebrating the chance to bludge) but wishing won’t make it otherwise and here comes the weekend.

What’s worth seeing and doing around Canberra?

Just leave your thoughts in the comments.

Spend an evening with legendary UK comic John Cleese – star of Monty Python and Fawlty Towers .

Cleese describes his one man show as “an evening of well honed anecdotes, psychoanalytical tit-bits, and unprovoked attacks on former colleagues, especially Michael Palin.”

Cleese has mastered everything from dry wit to slapstick humour, making his type of humour one that everyone can enjoy. He is the master comedian and admired and respected by everyone. Don’t miss this legendary comedian.

Tickets from Canberra Ticketing. Booking fee of $7.20 may apply.

Sunday 15th April: MOTHER JACK (SWE) 7.30pm Entry by donation.
From Sweden to Australia we have travelled. Come with us to a place where simple melodies wind through story-telling narratives, up over pulsating beats and dynamics that surprise, explore and exploit boundaries. We combine the sounds of the double bass and vocals with glockenspiel, a drum, loop pedal, kazoo and more to create original compositions that challenge us and make for an experience. Each song is a journey. Where it takes us is unique and individual to each of us. We are two. We are Mother Jack. Welcome into our imaginations. For more info
