Between sleeping in, dog walking, and going for a pub lunch it somehow fell off the radar.

If you’ve every wanted to muster sheep from the back of a horse, tell the dog to get in behind and then having a go at shearing a woolly one but without all the effort of having to get up before dawn 365 days a year, then this weekend at Burnelee could be for you.

Join Lindsey Butt and his family for an exciting day mustering the sheep for their annual shearing on Saturday 23 August from 9.30am – 4.30pm. Muster the sheep, ride through native bushland and enjoy a camp fire lunch before a tour of the ‘Glenlee’ shearing shed.

Bring your own horse or book a Burnelee one. This ride is suitable for intermediate or experienced riders only. Book early as the group size is limited.

Burnelee is located 30 minutes from Canberra, between Murrumbateman and Gundaroo.
