I have also now been reliably informed that Cultured Booner that I am, in addition to the drunken slappers available for hookups, and horse-faced ladies and horses at the Black Opal…
and the Helicopter Open day…
and the classy art expo in Phillip…

There’s a flyer up at work here for an “Erotic Arts event” at the Artists Shed in Queanbeyan.
With EROTIC NUDES and EROTIC NUDE COUPLES. And some standard nude couples and standard nudes.

Did I mention its erotic?
Their flyer is completely covered in the bolded words ‘erotic’ and ‘nudes’, so I guess its targetted at Queanbeyanites who havent gotten an end in for a while.

The cinema program at NFSA seems to be international. It’s just nice to sit outside in the their lovely courtyard and watch a good quality print of a classic movie. Well, that’s what I think 🙁

The film is Woody Allen’s The Purple Rose of Cairo. Tickets cost $9.50 and doors open at 6.30pm. The film begins at sunset.

More of a ‘what not to do’. Advise is to keep away from Anzac Park East and West and probably areas including Blundells Carillon etc due to Dept of Defence continuing efforts to make good citizens feel threatened and insecure by staging anti-terrorist exercises starting Friday evening. Why they can’t do these things on defence land is beyond me.

There’s some event going on at or near EPIC, but I hear its overpriced and hokey.

Skidbladnir 11:33 am 22 Feb 08

Oh yes, there will be drunken slappers and hookups.

There’s an art exhibition by the name of “Body Moves” at the New Works Gallery in Phillip (Colbee Court (the one with the public toilet), up from the Chocolate Olive Cafe ) too, if any of you are arty or farty.

Don’t miss jazz trio Frequently Asked Questions playing at the main bar of Casino Canberra tonight (Friday 22/2) from 9 – 12pm (free entry – though feel free to buy us a drink!)

And you can catch the same musicians playing as a quintet with guitar and drums as the Canberra City Band Small Jazz Combo, from 10.15 – 10.45 am on Sunday morning at the aforementioned Snowy Hydro Base Open Day.
