ABC Online is reporting that the ACT Cabinet has signed off on beginning the dragway consultation process.

As we all know it’s a long, long road to getting anything done and we can look forward to the howls of protest by all those within a 10 minute drive of the proposed site.

Deb Foskey was quick out of the blocks demanding that if the consultation is agin’ it the project be shelved. Meanwhile Bill Stefaniak, the thinking rev-head’s MLA, has wondered if this process is that of a Government really wanting to get it done.

About time they started this, I’m sick of stup*d punk kids who don’t know how to drive spoiling my racing. Maybe they can go screw their cars up out there instead of city roads.

So there’s what – 2 and a half years to the next election? I’m thinking the thing will be finished just before the poll – and use will be delayed for safety tests or whatever until just after.

But maybe I’m cynical.
