Does anybody know why Lake Ginninderra is being drained?

Or at least a portion of it? Is it too replace the bridge which has disappeared or for some other purpose.

Eastern Valley Way Inlet is being drained as part of the upgrade of the inlet, which includes the replacement of the pedestrian bridge and conversion of the inlet to a wetlands system.

im pretty sure that part is being filled in to help the lake flow better

Hasn’t it been said somewhere here that they’re putting in a wetlands type area there?

They’re putting in a wetland in the inlet next to the skate park – see the comments on http://the-riotact.com/lake-ginninderra-john-knight-park-to-emu-bank-footbridge-down/72411

maybe someone thought all the freshly uncovered shopping trolleys could be taken to the tip for free as e-waste…
