In the Electric Shadows newsletter out today, Andrew Pike informed readers the cinema is going to have to raise their ticket prices.
TICKET PRICE RISE
Much as it goes against the grain, our costs have risen – wages, rent, and suppliers – so we are faced with the inevitable need to make a small increase in our ticket prices, effective from Thursday 29 December.
Adult tickets will become $15, and group concessions will be $13 (for members of ACT Writers’ Centre, ACT Film and TV Council, Australian Film Institute, Ausdance, Media Entertainment Alliance, Privileges and National Seniors).
But the good news is we will keep our Student, Senior and Child ticket prices the same. No increases! Full-time Students $9, A.C.T. Government Seniors $9, Pensioners and Children $8.
And even better news, our Six Tix passes also stay the same: only $54 for six tickets, valid for six months – a saving of $36 on full adult tickets!
And our Wednesday discount days also remain the same, i.e., $8 for all films at all sessions.
And remember that weekday matinees excluding public holidays (sessions starting prior to 5pm) are also great value – remaining at $9 for Adults, or $8 for Seniors, Students, Children and Pensioners.
