The gig has been organised to raise awareness of epilepsy and also to raise money for epilepsy services and research through the Matthew Callaghan Foundation.

While this is ‘why’ the night has been organised, the intention for the night is for people to have a great night out with the two aims above almost secondary or largely transparent for most of the evening.

Re-emphasising that point, if people go home (or out) from the ANU bar and have had a awesome night, but also have thought ‘holy crap I didn’t know that epilepsy has the potential to be fatal’ and we raise a couple of thousand dollars then the night from the organisers perspective will be a resounding success and will have achieved everything we set out to achieve.
