The Australian Cyber Conference Canberra 2024 is Canberra’s leading cyber event for both the public and private sector and will provide business leaders with insights and best practices taught by the industry’s top experts through keynote presentations, panel sessions and live in-person demonstrations.

Held on 25-27 March this year, the Australian Cyber Conference Canberra will be showcasing 100+ speakers, 14 unique streams and 60+ exhibitors.

  • The Honourable Michael Kirby AC CMG, prominent human rights lawyer and privacy protection and data security expert
  • Roger Dingledine, co-founder and creator of the Tor Project, a not for profit organisation that develops free, open source software to protect people from tracking, censorship and surveillance online
  • Dr Rumman Chowdhury, a pioneer in the field of applied algorithmic ethics, creating cutting-edge socio-technical solutions for ethical, explainable and transparent AI
  • Dr Ed Hoffman, CEO of Knowledge Strategies, the first NASA Chief Knowledge Officer and founder of the NASA Project Leadership Academy. Dr Hoffman is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Columbia University School of Professional Studies, researching and teaching on the future of work
  • Frances Haugen, an expert in algorithmic governance and risk electrical and a computer engineer with an MBA from Harvard. Frances is a specialist in algorithmic product management, having worked on ranking algorithms at Google, Pinterest, Yelp and Facebook and believes that the problems we are facing today with social media are solvable, and that we can have social media that brings out the best in humanity
  • Hamish Hansford, Deputy Secretary Cyber and Infrastructure Security Department of Home Affairs, Australian Government

With a theme about the ‘Future is Now’, this important conference will explore the realm of emerging technologies that are reshaping industries such as AI, quantum computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), in addition to cyber security, privacy and Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC). Attendees will explore how these technologies are already influencing various sectors and discuss strategies to secure them against evolving hazards and threats.
