The Canberra Pro Tour #1 kicks off on Tuesday 8th February at the Canberra Tennis Centre and features a host of the world’s top players as they continue their summer of tennis campaign in the nation’s capital.
In Australia, the Pro Tour calendar offers a total prize money pool of over US$1.1 million dollars annually providing players with a competitive pathway; all-important earning opportunities, and ATP/WTA Tour world ranking points that facilitate a players livelihood as a professional player. The Calendar offers a range of different level tournaments to accommodate for professional players at different stages on the competitive pathway.
Local Canberrans, and promising juniors Annerly Poulos and Charlie Camus has gained a Wildcard into the Canberra Pro Tour #1.
Camus will join a competitive men’s draw including the top three seeds Akira Santillan, Dane Sweeny and Li Tu, while Annerly Poulos has joined the women’s main draw which features top seed Arina Rodionova as well as Daria Gavrilova, Jaimee Fourlis and Priscilla Hon.
Matches will get underway at 10am each day. Entry for the Canberra public is free and spectators must check in via the CBR App.
