Winner of four Academy Awards – including Best Picture, and Best Original Score for the iconic music by Vangelis – Chariots of Fire is the story of two British sprinters, Harold Abrahams (Ben Cross) and Eric Liddell (Ian Charleson), who come from very different upbringings.
Inspired by true events, this classic film follows Abrahams and Liddell as they prepare for the 1924 Paris Olympics, finding their resolve and beliefs tested in the journey to achieve their goals.
‘From the opening scene of pale young men racing barefoot along the beach, full of hope and elation, backed by Vangelis’ now famous anthem, the film is utterly compelling’ – The Times
