Canberra’s Domestic Violence Crisis Service (DVCS) frontline staff are all shaving their head in support of DVCS!

And it will be broadcast live by Kristen & Nige on Mix 106.3 from 6:00 am to 9:00 am on Monday 15 March 2021.

DVCS supports all people impacted by domestic and family violence, including those who use violence and are seeking to change. They support over 4,000 clients per year.

DVCS provides 24-hour crisis intervention, safety planning, emergency accommodation, security upgrades, legal advocacy, support groups, case management, awareness, and training.

They are hoping to raise $2,000 as a team and could really use your support. Your donation of $10 can pay for dinner and breakfast for one person in emergency accommodation, or $30 can pay for mobile phone credit for someone who doesn’t have any, or $50 can supply a voucher at Woolworths or Coles for someone who is staying in emergency accommodation for longer than one night. A donation of $220 provides one night of safe accommodation for an adult and child, with food, toiletries, colouring-in books, and a spare change of underwear.
