An equal world is an enabled world.
Equality is not a women’s issue, it’s a business issue.

These are just a few of the common themes being highlighted in this years International Women’s Day campaign… they’re so simple yet so true.

We invite you to join Pialligo Estate in a celebration of women with a beautiful luncheon to listen to some of the most inspiring women from our own home town; to be inspired and feel empowered.

Gather your favourite females and bring them along for a quality afternoon to yourselves. The ladies that are helping to lead the way on the day are:

  • Michelle Melbourne – Co-Founder of Intelledox. Instrumental in building a multi-million dollar software company, Michelle is one of Australia’s leading female technology entrepreneurs, working on a global stage. Intelledox changes the way the world communicates to citizens and customers in Government and FSI sectors, it’s next-generation, intelligent software. Having recently sold the business, Michelle is now on the board of Smart Communications, and continues to pave the way for women to be leaders in any industry, showing how it’s done in the traditionally very male-dominated IT industry.

Michelle is currently on the Advisory Board of the Royal Australian Mint and is a Governor of the ANU Foundation Board and has so much more than this on her list of experiences in influential positions as well. Michelle is going to share her business philosophy and motivators and is a wealth of advice for anyone looking to startup their own business or progress their careers.

  • Christina DeLay (Ph.D) – CEO and Co-Founder of Altina Drinks. Christina is a passionate social entrepreneur, scientist and mentor with a Bachelor of Biotechnology and Ph.D. in Plant Biology, and is a wonder to listen to – at the lunch, you’ll have the pleasure of hearing how building the Altina Drinks brand was a vehicle for change: starting the conversation about mindful drinking and continuing it by creating unique and memorable alcohol free experiences. She worked as a Technology Consultant before co-founding Altina Drinks, a social enterprise where she is now CEO and Head of R&D.
  • Sarah Kelly – President of Karinya House, and Director of My Fashion Empire (Australia). When it comes to supporting women and babies in Canberra, Sarah probably knows it all, so who better to join us for International Women’s Day than the president of one of the Capital’s most reputable charities. She has been a strong supporter of change for women, a vibrant and dynamic personality that fully immerses herself into her business and the community to support her passion for Karinya House.
