The LGBTIQ+ elders dance club is on again! Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres in partnership with All The Queens Men and Meridian present the June Winter Edition of the LGBTIQ+ Elders Dance Club.

“All The Queens Men make many people who, in their day to day lives in our society feel or are made to feel marginalised, neglected, invisible, lonely – feel valued, important, beautiful and cared about. I cannot express strongly enough how valuable that is – it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about the value of LGBTIQ+ Elders Dance Club.” – LGBTIQ+ elder.

This event now running nationally and internationally, fosters social inclusion, promotes social connection and an engagement in healthy physical activity in a COVID safe environment, creating a regular space for LGBTIQ+ elders to express themselves, without fear of discrimination or judgement. The Dance Club also serves as an opportunity for elders to share stories of their past and current experiences, fostering peer to peer exchange and support, strengthening community amongst LGBTIQ+ elders.

For more information, including interview opportunities, please contact Kristi Monfries, Marketing Manager at Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres, on (02) 6182 0006 or email kristi@agac.com.au
