Michael McGoogan, former co-CEO of Region, has resigned from his roles at the company, effective immediately.
Last month Mr McGoogan voluntarily stepped aside as co-CEO while family violence charges were pending in the ACT court. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Today (9 May 2024) he resigned from both his role as co-CEO and director.
Company founder Tim White will take the reins as Region’s sole CEO.
“I will continue to lead the organisation with the support of the Advisory Board and the executive team,” Mr White said.
“You can be confident that business at Region (publisher of Riotact) will continue as usual.”
Apart from reporting on the matter as it advances through the courts, Region will be making no further comment until the matter is concluded.
Region takes matters of family violence very seriously and understands the impact matters of this nature have in the wider community.
