Paint Outside Day is on Saturday 1 October from 10 am to 2 pm at Haig Park. Photo: Haig Park.

Kiddos, grandies, coolios, it’s time to play with paint. This is no little picture-painting-in-a-quiet-gallery day: we are getting big and messy.

Haig Park’s biggest canvas will weave around the park and above Lonsdale and Mort Streets, for everyone to make a massive artwork together. We have your tools ready and waiting!

Come and enjoy:

  • Spray painting facilitated by local artist Graffik Paint
  • Bucket paint pendulums
  • Hand and body paints
  • Charcoal
  • Rothko-inspired paint throwing
  • Brush painting
  • Anything-but-brush painting (a stick, your nose, your brother’s foot)
  • Note for parents: all paints are water-based, but we recommend avoiding fancy clothes

Paint Outside Day will also feature:

  • Suitcase Rummage (sign up below)
  • Face painting
  • Teeny-Tiny-Mini Museum
  • Paint Pablo
  • Box city
  • Bubbles
  • Coffee
  • Street food
  • Zierholz Brewery
  • Live music on the Soul Defender
  • Ready to have some fun with colour? Make sure you don’t miss Paint Outside Day.
