Strut, Skank and Boogie is Tuggeranong Arts Centre’s “almost” End-of-the-Year Party! Grab your tickets now and join us as we wiggle away 2020 with an evening of live music on the Arts Centre lawns by Lake Tuggeranong.
Kicking-off at 5pm, with funky, rockin’ blues music by the Johnny Reynolds Band.
Delivering funky rockin’ blues favourites and original songs, Dublin born songwriter and bandleader, Johnny Reynolds says his music draws inspiration from the blues and soft rock genres, quoting iconic Irish players Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore and English born Jeff Beck as some of his key influences.
Reynolds has toured and supported the likes of Deep Purple, The Kinks and BB King. His funky, soulful band includes: Paul Callan (bass) Bernie Keenan (drums/percussion) and Bob Micallef (keyboards and vocals).
Zambezi Sounds continue the evening of live music with their irresistible rhythms and vibrant mix of African and Reggae music, from 6.30pm.
This upbeat band will keep the good vibes flowing with their irresistible rhythms and a vibrant mix of contemporary and traditional African music and Reggae numbers.
Zambezi Sounds has performed to enthusiastic audiences in Canberra at the National Multicultural Festival and Fringe Festival, at the Old Canberra Inn Reggae Festival, the Polish White Eagle Club, Smiths Alternative and at Cobargo Folk Festival.
