The past year has upended so much for so many, and forced global reckonings with systems, processes and policies that too often let us down. So … what now?

At TEDxCanberra Women 2021, you’ll hear from Canberrans who are helping to move the conversation about the power of girls and women to be creators and change-makers in a meaningful way. You will learn the ‘what now?’ in fields including design, technology, science and culture — and together, we’ll envision a future we can build together.

You will hear from speakers and performers who are imagining new possibilities and exploring new ideas for how we might live and work better together in the years to come.

TEDxCanberraWomen 2021 is open to everyone, inclusive of all identities across the gender spectrum.

What to expect

This event will be held in-person at the Kambri Cultural Centre at the ANU. Your registration will give you access to:

  • Welcome to Country ceremony.
  • A session of TED Talks, music performances and selected short films (featuring up-and-coming Australians who are out to change the world).
  • Food and beverages at the after-party.
  • Opportunities to network and meet fellow Canberrans who are making a difference, including speakers.

Our speakers and performers

Our speakers will make you laugh, cry and – most importantly – feel inspired by their world-changing stories. They will be progressively announced over November via the TEDxCanberra Facebook and Twitter pages.

We’re delighted that our event will once again be hosted by Canberra-based women’s advocate, Dr Nina Terrey, who returns to TEDxCanberraWomen for the third year in a row.
