The Museum of Australian Democracy has a new, permanent exhibition that explores stories from those on the front line for the battle for truth.

Objects from Australia’s media history are brought together for the first time, and visitors can hear stories directly from some of Australia’s leading journalists including Joanne McCarthy, Hedley Thomas, Laura Murphy-Oates, Hamish Macdonald and Adele Ferguson.

Learn to navigate filter bubbles, fake news, and see the importance of trusted media sources in a healthy democracy.

See the technology wall showcasing media tech from 1925 to 2019, Peter Greste’s letters smuggled to his family from an Egyptian prison, death threats and intimidation faced by investigative reporter Kate McClymont and many more items.

Entry is free but bookings are essential.

When: Wednesday 17 June, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Cost: Free

Bookings: Online
