The ‘Vietnam Requiem’ will enhance understanding of all those touched by the Vietnam War, some 50 years after our nation’s withdrawal. This concert will take audiences on a musical journey with popular songs from the era and orchestral movements that will respond to stories or events that shaped our perceptions or experiences.
In honouring service and acknowledging pain, dislocation and the terrible cost of war, the ‘Vietnam Requiem’ will be an emotionally powerful demonstration of the power of music.
The recordings from this concert will be gifted to the nation to play at future commemorative services or for non-commercial purposes in perpetuity.
