Join us as we celebrate the Woden Youth Centre’s 30 anniversary and its fantastic contribution to the lives of young people in the ACT.

Thirty years ago the Woden Youth Centre was opened and ever since has played a central role in the lives of young people in Woden.

Through the Centre, the Woden Community Service has supported at risk young people and young people with disabilities in a variety of ways, including drop in services, holiday programs, support services, free dinners and through an active music program.

Music has led the way to bring young people into to service and in turn the program has provided young people with space to practice and perform, musical instruments, event management opportunities and a platform for emerging bands to launch.

To celebrate this rich and fantastic history, WCS invites former volunteers, staff and people who have utilised the services at the Centre as well as current day partners and clients of the Centre.

The event will include some recollections and speeches, pictures and displays from our archives and, of course, a line-up of local bands and musicians who have a connections with the Woden Youth Centre.
