Each week Rachel Moore is on the hunt to find out what makes Canberra special to all the wonderful folks who live here.
There are some people who just make your day better. An extended and warm salutation, a quick-witted humorous remark, or even the most common question of all, “How are you”, whilst actually wanting to know the answer. This is James Bramboeck. James’ kindness and sincerity is rare and special, his genuine positive attitude has a wonderful impact on all those lucky enough to be around him.
Like many folks around Canberra, family comes number one for James, with his friends a close second. Whether it be hanging out at the Ben and Jerry’s open air cinema, going clubbing or never quite recovering from his favourite Vietnamese restaurant closing down in Erindale, you can be sure in the ACT if you see James it will be with a loved one or bestie, and they will be having a ball!
The most prized possession James owns is a blanket his Mum crocheted him, and he’s certain that his flatmate Jamie is actually a secret member of a royal family, she is just that amazing, but isn’t telling anyone which one yet. Lumpy, the gorgeous cat pictured in several photographs was a huge part of James’ life until recently and we are told Lumpy was a beautiful boy.
Every week we ask the of Faces of Canberra folks the same questions, unsurprisingly in response to the “What is a question you would like to ask everyone in Canberra” James wanted to ask you all – “How are you?”. Well James, we are pretty great after reading about you!
