Anyone else think this month is a getting a little ridiculous in terms of festivals? It’s ludicrous how much stuff is crammed into these 31 days. Anyone who complains Canberra is dull has never been here in March.

Canberra Comedy Festival. March 19-23.
The Village Festival. March 21-24.
The National Folk Festival.March 28-April 1.
Enlighten Festival.March 1-9.
The Famous Spiegel Tent. March 1-24.

Add to that the ludicrous amount of events planned around the centenary and March has become so bloated with things to do that I feel paralysed for choice. I love that these events exist. I really do, but I cannot understand why everyone must have their festival in March. It’s a great time of the year, but surely it’d be worth putting up with a slightly less pleasant month just to avoid clashing with everything else ever?
In short I love all of you festivals, but spacing things out a bit wouldn’t hurt. I am only going to attend and support a fraction of what I would like to and you all deserve better than that.
Ahh well. I suppose I’ll just be forced to have THE BEST MONTH EVER and like it.
