Filming at the Botanic Gardens

By Dark and Mysterious - 17 December 2007 2

More than usual action occurring at the Botanic Gardens on Sunday – filming was occurring in the Rainforest Gully.  Not sure about the type of film but there were clues – I saw an actor in full traditional Japanese dress, and there were a lot of samuri swords about the place!

Apparently it was all for a film for Tropfest, so if you see something that looks eerily familiar, that’s why.  I asked for a film credit for sound (my child was shrieking constantly in the area) and they said they’d think about it.  😉

What’s Your opinion?

a little off topic, but does anyone know when the jazz starts up? I went a few years ago and it was a great day. I’m guessing Jan or Feb.

I too saw the actor in traditional garb. I was up on the pathway, camera poised, waiting for a good shot of the action, but after 20 minutes, all I got was a couple of shots through the ferns and shrubs of the director and camera. The equipment looked impressive, but it’s a tedious way to make a living.
