The Brumbies are carrying the news that the ever unfairly maligned George Gregan is going to turn out for the Barbarians against the Wallabies on 3 December at Twickers.
- The Barbarian Football Club announced today Gregan is the latest international star to confirm his availability for a match that will mark the Centenary of the 1908 London Olympics where the first ever Wallabies touring squad won the Games gold medal for Rugby.
Finally a chance that a Wallabies defeat will be justly laid at George’s feet. With the world cup winning combo of Jake White and Eddie Jones coaching the BaaBaas (to say nothing of world leading referee Gregan) they’ll take some beating.
Slobs, not snobs.
Anything to do with the UK. We may have come from there over 200 years ago, but it still feels great when we beat them at he sports that they take the credit for inventing.
> Can’t stand being beaten in any sport by those toffee nosed slobs.
The Barbarians? Since when were they toffee nosed snobs?
Damn, we’re in for a thumping. Can’t stand being beaten in any sport by those toffee nosed slobs.
He’ll make whathisface (you know, our new halfback) look quite ordinary is my bet. George Gregan is all class.
i still have nightmares about *that* tackle, but there is bucket loads of admiration for George from this kiwi…
