Fire ban road closures

By johnboy 1 February 2011

With a total fire ban in place today Territory and Municipal Services are giving notice that they’ve shut these areas:

— Googong Foreshores;
— Lower Molonglo River Corridor;
— Selected roads within Namadgi National Park including Old Mill Road, Warks Road, Mount
Franklin Road at Piccadilly Circus, and the Corin Dam Road beyond Smokers Gap;
— Mulligans Flat Woodlands Sanctuary; and
— Tidbinbilla (the Visitor Centre will remain open)

They also want people to clear out of the Canberra Nature Park and all Pine Forest areas by 11am and the public barbecues are being turned off.
