“Food for Thought” is a fundraising dinner for a great cause – OzHarvest. It’s a “must attend” event on the social calendar with great entertainment and will auction some really great prizes, with the proceeds going to OzHarvest.

OzHarvest collects excess food and delivers it, free of charge, to organisations that feed disadvantaged men, women and children in the Canberra community. OzHarvest is the missing link between the excess food and those in need.

OzHarvest Canberra has been operating since February 2008 and has delivered over 1,000,000 meals to disadvantaged men, women and children across Canberra, Queanbeyan and Yass. In the process, saving over 300,000 kilograms of food from bins.

Communities@Work runs OzHarvest and is a not-for-profit community organisation that provides services to more than 10,000 people annually, utilising a paid workforce in excess of 400, over 200 volunteer staff and 150 self employed family day care educators.

Support a Canberra based not-for-profit that is contributing so significantly to our local community AND have a great night!
