If you weren’t already exhausted by the March of Madness the Centenary Folk have put out word on the Four Elements Festival by Lake George:
The Four Elements Festival started today, bringing the banks of Lake George to life in a regional multi-arts event at the Mirramu Creative Arts Centre.
The festival is proudly supported by the Community Centenary Initiatives Fund and includes residential packages for cross-cultural dance immersion, a school dance program, and workshops in painting, yoga, writing and Hebel block sculpture.
“The stunning backdrop of Lake George will also be the inspiration for cross-cultural dance, painting on the lake’s edge and creative writing,” said Jeremy Lasek, Executive Director of the Centenary of Canberra.
“Regional dancers will have the rare opportunity to study with Elizabeth Cameron Dalman OAM, as well as internationally renowned dancers and choreographers Kyoko Sato from Japan and Jyh Shyong Wong from Malaysia.”
The festivities will culminate with the Gathering Storm celebration on Sunday 24 March, for an afternoon of vibrant entertainment and participation sessions.
“Gathering Storm is a family concert and dance spectacular, and everyone is invited to come along with a picnic basket and enjoy a celebration of regional and international music and dance and exhibitions, in the beautiful peaceful surroundings of Mirramu Creative Arts Centre
